One Ham's journey into 600 meters By: Fred R. Temple, KN8AZN.
Sometime back in 2007, I heard about the efforts of a group of Hams doing experimental work on 600 meters. This sounded like Ham history in the making to me, and I wanted to be a participant. I had very little experience with Ham radio below 160 meters, having only occasionally listened to a few beacons below the broadcast band. A bit of Internet browsing introduced me to this LOWFER world with modes like QRSS and PC software like ARGO and SPECTRAN. (More to come...)
